Department published the list of public holidays for the year 2078. The list of
Banking Holidays effective from 2021/04/14 to 2022/04/13 (2078 Baisakh 1 to
2078 Chaitra 30) in all banking and financial institutions in Nepal.
The government of Nepal has announced the public holidays in
Nepal 2078 BS also decided to add four more national holidays in the upcoming
Nepali year. Nepal government has decided to schedule the following public
holidays, festival holidays and office hours for all government offices from
2078 Baisakh 1 to 2078 Chaitra 31. The government has made public the list of
public holidays of 2078 years.
The government has fixed public holidays other than 51 Saturdays for Nepali year of 2078 BS including the regional and religious specified holidays. According to a notification published by the Ministry of Home affairs in the Nepal Gazette, there will be public holidays for five days during Dashain and three days during Tihar. For Dashain, there are five days for public holidays from October 12 to October 30 starting with Phulpati till Ekadashi, with the Tika day on 15 October. Likewise, for Tihar, there are three days of holidays from 4 November to 6 November, on the days of Laxmi Puja, followed by Mha Puja and Bhaitika, Govardhan Puja and Nepal Sambat New Year.
